Temple Town Signature Teak Cutlery Holder
Description
For the table that gets laid every day
A cutlery holder is a small object that earns its place by being used three times a day. This one is turned and joined from solid Indian teak — the same timber, from the same workshop, as the beds and cabinets.
It sits on a dining table, a sideboard or a kitchen counter and holds a setting's worth of cutlery upright and to hand. On a laid table it saves a journey; on a counter it stops the drawer becoming the place everything disappears into.
Why teak, for something this small
Teak resists water without sealing, which is what you want for an object that lives near a sink and gets wiped rather than washed. It also darkens gently with handling, so it looks better after five years than it did new.
