Most nightstands are too slight for the beds they sit next to. Beside a teak four poster with posts running to the ceiling, a delicate side table simply disappears.

The Majesty is built to hold its own. Solid Indian teak, three deep drawers, and a flat top with room for a lamp, a book and a glass of water without crowding.

Getting the height right

At 50cm it sits level with the top of a standard mattress or just below — which is the height at which you can reach a glass in the dark without looking. Anything taller and it competes with the bed; anything shorter and you are reaching down for it.

Three drawers, and why that matters

Two drawers is the usual compromise. Three gives you separation: the things you use nightly in the top, the things you use weekly below, and the things you would rather not see at the bottom. In a bedroom, the difference between calm and cluttered is usually just drawer space.
