A furniture maker, not a furniture shop

Most furniture shops in Thrissur buy in what they sell. We do not. Every bed, chair, cabinet and table on our floor was made by our own craftsmen in our own Thrissur workshop, from kiln-dried, responsibly sourced teak.

  • It is made here. The joinery, the hand-woven cane, the hand-rubbed finish — all of it happens in Thrissur, and the people who made your piece are the people who will repair it.
  • It can be changed. Dimensions, timber finish, cane and upholstery can all be specified. Most of what we sell is made to order.
  • It takes time. Typically four to eight weeks for furniture. Seasoned teak and hand-cut joinery do not hurry.
  • The range is deliberate. Beds, seating, cabinets, tables and accessories, made to a very high standard. We do not sell mattresses, office furniture or mass-market sofa sets, and we will tell you when another shop suits you better.

Why Thrissur, and why teak

Central Kerala is hard on furniture: long monsoons, high humidity, and air-conditioned rooms that swing the other way. Engineered board swells and delaminates; unseasoned timber keeps drying inside your home and opens its joints. Properly kiln-dried teak, with its own natural oils, is the timber that has answered this climate for centuries.
